SHAH ALAM, 1 Sept: Muslims are reminded to not be negligent in tithing as it is a duty of every individual.
The Selangor Tithe Board (LZS) Missionary and Marketing Sector Chief, Mohamed Syahril Zainol, said that it can be done through payroll deductions or online because tithing this way is the most popular so far, however many people still do not realise it.
“They can do it the most simple way which is through salary deductions, but many fail to meet this obligation.
“All information can be accessible online at the LZS website, a minimum amount of tithe that must be given, wither in arrears or current,” he told Selangor Kini.
At the same time, Syahril said that forgotten tithes are calculated as failure to oblige and punishable.
He said that it is urgent because it is demanded in Islam even though the amount is large.
“This is the future of the afterlife and they is no reason not to tithe. We believe in the promise of Allah and we will receive a reward in various forms if the obligation is carried out,” he said.
