SHAH ALAM, 3 Sept: PKR is ready to cooperate with any party seeking to overthrow the tyrannical government, said its President, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
She said that this readiness is important in the effort to strengthen the front against the government that is playing havoc with the people’s welfare, including through political cooperation with PAS.
“We work with everyone to topple the unjust government that has made the economy what it is now and we want good governance.
“Any Malaysia who wants to be with us is welcome. A person who raised Najib to become the Prime Minister is now present with the people to topple him,” she said when met at the Selangor Islamic Religious Department building lobby today.
When asked whether she meant the former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and wanting to work with him, Wan Azizah just chuckled.
At the same time, Wan Azizah refused to elaborate on the objection by the National Trust Party (Amanah) which does not want to include PAS in the new opposition coalition, Pakatan Rakyat 2,0.
“This is their view,” she said referring to the statement by Amanah yesterday.
