“The main task is to support new converts and to preach to the people. We help in terms of counseling, welfare and taking care of them to ensure that this group is not neglected.

“The establishment of the Hidayah Centre Foundation is also because we found that many converts return to their original religion.

“This is because most of them faced opposition from their families and some were physically assaulted and injured, so they need to be helped and supported,” he told Selangor Kini.

About the Aidilfitri celebration, Hidayah Centre Foundation celebrated it on a large scale by gathering more than half of the new converts.

“Previously, we focused on helping them in terms of fasting, building a career and so on.

“We think that it is time to celebrate this glorious day on a large scale with a target of over half of the attendees being new converts,” he said, considering the celebration a success.
