Be alert of rabies

SUBANG JAYA, 20 Sept: The Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) has taken precautions to prevent rabies in the area under their supervision.

The MPSJ President, Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan, said that all necessary measures needs to be taken so that they can avoid it from happening.

“We can take precautions by identifying suitable sites for preventing and controlling the disease from an outbreak.

“There are still no cases in Subang Jaya but we are ready so that whatever happened outside does not happen here,” he told reporters today.

He said that the MPSJ Department of Health and Residents Committee (JKP) are cooperating in the matter for public safety.

“Both have been asked to help in running information sessions for the residents on the matter,” he said.

Recently, there were two rabies cases in Penang involving a child aged 11 and a 44 year old adult.
