KLANG, 17 Feb: The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim denied allegations that the PKR leadership have asked him to sign a letter of resignation.
Instead, Abdul Khalid said that the matter has not been discussed by the PKR leadership.
“No. It’s not true. There is no letter.
“I do not want to comment. What is most important is we strive in working for the victory in the Kajang by-election,” he said in a press conference after the launch of the Camera Security System (CCTV) at the Hamzah Hall here at the Klang Municipal Council.
The Star reported allegations that Abdul Khalid had been asked to sign a letter of resignation to pave the way for the Kajang candidate, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, if he wins in the by-election.
Previously, the PKR Secretary-General, Saifuddin Nasution, in a press conference in Kajang today also rejected claims by the newspaper.
Saifuddin said that the report was nonsense because a reliable source is only from the highest leadership of PKR and not from anonymous sources.
