Justice Datuk Balia Yusuf Wahi who led the three-judge panel, announced its unanimous decision to cancel Anwar’s acquittal by the Kuala Lumpur High Court in January 2012.

The sentence is expected to cause Anwar to be no longer eligible to hold any political office and to not be able to contest in the N25 Kajang by-election on 23 March.
