Preventing PR Leaders from Entering Sarawak, Ruling Regime Afraid to Face Balingian By-Election

SHAH ALAM, 26 Mar: the Sarawak Youth Solidarity Malaysia (SAMM) has condemned the move to prevent three Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leaders from entering Sarawak yesterday.

The Sarawak SAMM Joint Coordinator, Norazarizah Rahman, said that the rights as a native have been arrogantly denied by the Chief Minister who is ruling on the mandate given by the people for the sake of survival of narrow politics.

He said that the eviction of the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Secretary General, Datuk Saifuddin Nasution; its Vice President, Tian Chua and the STrategic Director, Rafizi Ramli, who arrived to join in the Balingian State Legislative Assembly (DUN) by-election clearly proves that the regime is in fear.

“After they gained independence and joined under a federal coalition, the draconian laws are still maintained by the ruling regime under superficial reasons.

“This is because the regime fears that many flaws and shortcomings will be revealed to feed the anger of the people which will witness their uprising like in the Kajang by-election on 23 March,” she said in a statement today.

Norazarizah said that the people from the whole country has been asked to stand united in various problems that are worsening, however such authority is so arrogant in using laws from the colonial period.
