Sungai Pinang Assemblyman Channels RM20,000 to Buy 100 Bicycles, Overcome Traffic Congestion

KLANG, 30 Mar: The Assemblyman for Sungai Pinang, Datuk Teng Chang Khim, provided an allocation of RM20,000 for the success of the programme to encourage students around the area to cycle to school.

Chang Khim said that the allocation was provided to but about 100 bicycles to be donated to students interested in participating in the cycling programme, thus reducing traffic congestion and air pollution from smoke emission from vehicles such as motorcycles.

“The criteria for selecting students is first, their desire for cycling. That is important because if they refuse to cycle, there is no use for us to provide it, and also parents’ permission because there are some parents worried about their children who cycle to school.
