MBSA : Jalan Persiaran Bandaraya to be closed from 15 – 18 May

SHAH ALAM 10 MAY : The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) will close the Jalan Persiaran Bandaraya(Dataran Kemerdekaan) starting from 10 in the morning this coming Tuesday and will only open for vehicles only open for vehicles on May 18.

Its Deputy Corporate Director, Shahrin Ahmad, said that the partial closure of this road is to ease the preparation and organisation of a carnival in conjunction of the national celebration of the World Museum Day 2014, organised by the Selangor State Malay Customs and Heritage Body(PADAT).

He said motorists can pre-plan their journey and use alternative routes towards their destination to avoid any inconvenience.

“For instance, if motorists are heading to Section 10 and 15, they are kindly requested to use Jalan Persiaran Damai, Persiaran Dato’ Menteri, Persiaran Kayangan and Persiaran Masjid.”

“MBSA would like to appeal to motorists to avoid using Jalan Persiaran Bandaraya in order to avoid traffic congestion and to kindly follow given instructions,” he said in a statement.

The Museum Day celebration will start on May 14 and will involve a museum marathon run, prosperity night, a workshop on museum and community, as well as a carnival and an exhibition.
