Abdul Khalid overtakes Azmin by 59 votes?

SHAH ALAM, 15 May: The candidate for Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Deputy President, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, is said to have started overtaking the incumbent for the position, Mohamed Azmin Ali, by 59 votes.

According to Selangor Kini sources, the latest PKR Election 2014 unofficial results, Abdul Khalid has received 11,837 votes, Azmin (11,778) and Saifuddin Nasution (7,624 votes).

The results was obtained after the ballot counting for two branches, Sepang and Kuala Langat, was completed and unofficially, for Sepang, Abdul Khalid received 594 votes, followed by Azmin (210) and Saifuddin (7).

For the Kuala Langat branch, Abdul Khalid received 392 votes; Mohamed Azmin, 247 and Saifuddin received eight votes.

So far, Abdul Khalid is seen to dominate all branches in Selangor.

Meanwhile, the delay in the Central Election Committee (CEC) in announcing the latest results has raised various speculations among members regarding the credibility and efficiency of the committee in managing the election.

Previously, the election monitors appointed by the CEC have also been criticised for the way they handled the polling process.

Selangor Kini found that on the official PKR website, the last time the votes were updated only involves the results for Perak.

Results involving Negeri Sembilan, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Selangor have yet to be posted up.
