Increase use of water and electricity, residents of Subang Jaya should be frugal

SUBANG JAYA, 25 June: The Assemblywoman for Subang Jaya, Hannah Yeoh, reminded the residents in her area to control the use of water, in addition to finding that electricity consumption has been high recently.

Hannah said that she has contacted Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) on the matter and the agency is aware of the matter.

She said that the high electricity consumption has been due to the use of air conditioning, following the El Nino phenomenon.

“I hope that water consumption can be frugal and not wasted,” she said during a press conference today.

On 24 June, the TNB General Manager (Corporate Communications), Omar Sidek, in a report, said that Malaysia recorded 16,583 MW of electricity consumption on May 28.

The electricity consumption is now at its peak between 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm each day.
