10 ministers in the Prime Minister’s Department can form a football team

SHAH ALAM, 25 June: The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, is seen as no different from the worst football team manager in the history of the Malaysian cabinet.

The Selangor DAP Secretary, Ng Suee Lim, said that Najib’s move to appoint two more ministers in the Prime Minister’s Department (PMD) does not bring any changes and only adds to the people’s burden.

He said that the appointment also does not mean anything to the Tiong Hwa community because they rejected, overall, the Barisan Nasional (BN) leadership in the last General Election.

“There is no point. He has added more players on the team because the people even fully rejected the last one ; 52 percent chose Pakatan Rakyat (PR).

“Najib certainly has no strategy, not to make his team better, but to burden us.

“The larger the cabinet, the greater the public debt. Najib is a manager that has failed the most,” he told to Selangor Kini today.

He said this when asked to comment on the issue of the appointment of the MCA Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Liow Tiong Lai, who was appointed into the cabinet as the Minister of Transport, while Datuk Wee Ka Siong was appointed as a Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of GERAKAN, Datuk Mah Siew Keong, was also appointed as a Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Lee Chi Leong (Deputy Minister of International Trade), Chua Tee Yong (Deputy Finance Minister) and Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun returns to hold her old position as the Deputy Minister of Women’s Development, Family and Community.

At the same time, Suee Lim also described Najib as a leader who is deaf to criticism, while often taking for granted advice and views from other leaders, especially from the PR opposition party.

“Previously, we questioned the creation of a cabinet that is too big for the people, which does not reach 30 million. Apparently, he is not just reshuffling and reducing the available (cabinet), but increasing it,” he said.
