Selangor PAS asks 2 Assemblymen to not act alone in making decisions

SHAH ALAM, 15 Aug: Selangor PAS issued a warning to two Assemblymen from PAS who expressed their support openly to appoint the President of Parti Keadilan Rakyat, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, as the new Chief Minister.

The Selangor PAS Secretary, Mohd Khairuddin Othman, said that the warning was issued following the individual actions of the two PAS Assemblymen involved in ignoring the PAS Syura Ulama Council, the State PAS and the Central PAS Committee.

“The actions of the two PAS Assemblymen in Selangor who turned on the party’s stand are very serious and we will act.

“Selangor PAS will give 24 hours to withdraw the stance and actions made or face the consequences of the action.

“Why so hasty and eager to the point of ignoring the party? Will Central PAS not be meeting on the 17th?” asked Mohd Khairuddin in a press statement made late yesterday evening.

He explained that the two Assemblymen involved should be more patient in waiting for the results of the Central PAS meeting on August 17.

“We must be patient and obey any decisions or rulings made by the Central PAS on August 17.

“I advise these two Assemblymen to retract their move or Selangor PAS will begin disciplinary action, including the content expressed in the allegiance when they were candidates,” he added.

Mohd Khairuddin said that the PAS Assemblymen should focus on providing the best services to the people who they represent, as recommended by the Selangor PAS Commissioner.
