The council said that they have also received a lot of complaints from the public who are concerned about the existence of vendors selling VCDs at sidewalks, night markets and open areas.

Sul-Kefli said that the MPKj Enforcement Department will continue operations so that the sales of VCDs without licence can be eradicated.

“VCDs disposed are from seizures between January and March and the figures show a slight increase compared to the same period last year,” he said, quoted from Sinar Harian.

According to him, the move to seize goods by vendors who commit the offence is done in accordance with the MPKj By-Laws 2007 and the Street, Drainage and Building Act 1974.
