SERDANG, 7 Sept: The four PAS Executive Council members who are now in the Selangor Government cabinet with the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, is the last defence to save the Pakatan Rakyat Government from falling into Umno’s hands.
The Selangor PAS Deputy Commissioner 1, Sallehen Mukhyi, said that retaining the four PAS Exco members is important because it is in accordance with the Selangor Constitution.
“We are not cooperating with Umno, in fact if Umno comes in, we will leave,” said Sallehen.
He said this during the Selangor PAS Itjimak which was held at the MPSJ Indoor Stadium in Serdang Jaya Seri Kembangan.
“Although Abdul Khalid is currently an Independent Assemblyman, he has still not become an Independent Assemblyman in style. In fact, lately, although his reign is about to end, he still has spirit,” he said.
He said that despite having only four Executive Council members, the Selangor Government is still continuing to run with planned programmes running well.
Sallehen said that what happened to the Selangor Government has shaken it only slightly compared to PAS’ experience of previously losing a government.
“Based on the experience of past leaders who went through the long journey, our President and other allies remain calm in this situation and we do not hastily make statements to not give cooperation to the Chief Minister,” he said.
He said that Pakatan Rakyat supporters should follow the method of Fiqh by receiving victory and help from Allah.
“So when we arrange to congregate, then we are on the right tract to receive help from Allah,” he said.
