Azmin: ‘We will work hard every day, not just the first 100 days’

SUBANG JAYA, 27 Sept: The new state government administration needs to work hard every day and not just the first 100 days to ensure that the people receive the best services.

The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that there are many issues that need to be addressed immediately, especially related to local authorities, including the management of solid waste and road maintenance.

Apart from that, he said that the issue of education also needs to be given special attention to ensure that the people enjoy the best education.

“We will discuss in the upcoming budget how the state government can play a part in helping local authorities and, in addition, focus on education should also be given attention.

“Our long-term guarantee is to create a knowledgeable society because with knowledge, we can compete in the current global environment,” he said after inaugurating the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) Green City Community Day at One City Mall today.

Azmin was sworn in as the 15th Chief Minister on September 23, replacing Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

Azmin’s appointment thus ended the Chief Minister crisis which was in the spotlight in recent months.

Yesterday, the leadership of the state government was completed with the appointment of ten Executive Council members, where seven old members were maintained and three new members were appointed.
