SMUE allocation issue, former Setpol member contradicts Faekah

The former Political Secretary to Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, Azmin Bidin, said that the Senior Citizens Scheme (SMUE) bank account for the Parliament of Bandar Tun Razak and the constituency of Port Klang has been frozen because Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim is no longer a member of PKR.

Contradicting the allegations by the Port Klang Assemblyman’s Special Officer, Faekah Hussin, Azman, who is also the Head of the Bandar Tun Razak PKR Branch, explained that the bank account for the programme to help the people can only be managed by a Pakatan Rakyat constituency Assemblyman and Coordinator.

“The State Government Treasurer informed the representative from the Bandar Tun Razak Parliament that in view that Tan Sri Khalid is not an Independent Parliamentarian and not from Pakatan Rakyat, he is not qualified to hold the provisions for the Senior Citizen Scheme anymore,” explained Azman in a statement to Selangor Kini.

“This provision will be channelled through an appointed constituency appointed by the state government. The appointed constituency will hold this provisions for the Bandar Tun Razak Parliament and for the Port Klang constituency, the provisions will be handed over to the constituency Coordinator appointed by the Chief Minister in the near future.”

In a press statement yesterday, Faekah said that the Selangor State Treasurer had been instructed to freeze the account on September 25 after the change of the state administration.
