500 low-income families receive sacrificial meat from the State Government

SUNGAI BULOH, 6 Oct: The jubilation of the Hari Raya Aidiladha became more meaningful when about 500 underprivileged families in Paya Jaras each received their share of the sacrificial meat donated by the Selangor Government.

The meat was distributed by the Assemblyman for Paya Jaras, Mohd Khairuddin Othman, after receiving four sacrificial cows contributed by the State Government.

“Every year, we give a turn to the Suraus in Paya Jaras to receive the gift of cattle from the State Government.

“Our focus is in areas where the residents are of a modest income and we are grateful to the government for their attentiveness. The people are happy with this programme” said Khairuddin.

He explained that the sacrifice ritual was conducted together at the Kubu Gajah Surau, the Matang Jaya Surau, the Matang Pagar Surau, the Wangsa Permai Surau and the Islah Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh Surau.

“We prepared each package containing a kilogramme of meat to be distributed and I personally managed to distribute it in the area of Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh,” added Khairuddin.

Apart from the State Government, the sacrifice ritual in Paya Jaras was also attended by several individuals from a few Suraus and mosques in the area.
