CM takes bus to test effectiveness

PETALING JAYA, 31 Oct: Users of public transportation who waited for the bus at the bus stop were surprised when the individual that came off the stopped bus was the Chief Minister of Selangor, Mohamed Azmin Ali.

This happened at the bus stop near the Asia Jaya LRT station when Mohamed Azmin was personally surveying the one way system which was introduced by the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) on October 14.

Mohamed Azmin also managed to personally ask about the problems faced by the users of public transportation there.

Prior to this, Mohamed Azmin said that his main focus of fieldwork programmes is to personally see the problems faced by the people.

“’Terjah’ (a pop culture term typically used when a celebrity is ambushed by paparazzi) is a new term in Selangor. But we are not finding publicity with ‘terjah’ activities but to solve the problems of the people,” said Mohamed Azmin in front of about 200 MBPJ staff at the MBPJ Auditorius before beginning his visit to several locations around the Petaling District.

Apart from looking into the effectiveness of the one way system, Mohamed Azmin also visited Pangsapuri Intan Baiduri, Section 51A, Petaling Jaya and the People’s Housing Project (PPR) at Section 8, Kota Damansara.

Among the issues that came to Mohamed Azmin’s attention in the visitation this time includes the maintenance issue of the lifts at the two strata housing.

Mohammed Azmin also had the chance to present the keys to a new tenant of the PPR unit and paint the building.
