The PBT & CSC that registers most number of married youths to receive RM10,000 incentive

SHAH ALAM, 7 Nov: The Merakyatkan Ekonomi Selangor (MES) Scheme involving direct benefits to the youth will continue to be developed with a variety of programmes.

Among the measures that will be taken includes a cash award of RM10,000 as an initiative to the Community Service Centre (CSC) and Local Youth Movement (PBT) that manages to register the most participants for the Selangor Youth Marriage Incentive Programme.

The Exco for Young Generation Development, Sports Culture and Entrepreneur Development, Amiruddin Shari, said that the move is taken because the participation of youth in the marriage incentive programme is still low.

“Seeing that the registration for this marriage incentive is still low. We only had 17,000 last year.

“So for the incentive, next year the PBT that registers the most (number of participants) will receive RM10,000 and Community Service Centres will also receive RM10,000,” said Amiruddin during the Selangor State Youth Policy Final Report Presentation Briefing Programme at the Annexe Building yesterday.

The Selangor Pakatan Rakyat (PR) Government previously introduced various programmes under the MES Scheme in effort to return the state’s wealth to the people.

These programmes involve people of all ages, from infancy to the golden age.

The programme also emphasises schemes that involve youths directly, like the entering university gift, youth marriage incentive and various other agendas.
