Exco urges the public to donate to Cameron Highlands flood victims

CAMERON HIGHLANDS, 9 Nov: The Selangor Immediate Response Team (PANTAS) launched a donation fund for daily necessities, mainly clothes, pillows, mats, toto, blankets, food and beverages following the mudslide in Ringlet, Cameron Highlands.

The Selangor State Exco for Health, Welfare, Women’s Affairs and Family, Dr Daroyah Alwi, said that PANTAS found that there is an urgent need among the victims.

“PANTAS asks for sincere donations from all of you and PANTAS and the Selangor state government expresses thanks and appreciation for your kindness, brothers and sisters,” said Dr Daroyah.

Those who want to donate can do so by contacting PANTAS volunteers at 012-2646767, 019-6668843, 012-6828337 and 011-12951237.

Today, Dr Daroyah will join the PANTAS relief mission, which began yesterday.

The mission is headed by the Mission Director of PANTAS, Hamsah Djabir, and involves six PANTAS volunteers.

Previously, the Selangor government announced that an allocation of RM15,000 will be channeled to the victims of the flash floods.
