Shamsudin: “BN refuses provisions of RM200,000, but accept the car”

SHAH ALAM, 25 Nov: The Selangor State Assembly (DNS) Opposition Leader, Datuk Mohd Shamsudin Lias, said that the 12 Barisan Nasional (BN) Assemblymen refused the proposed allocation of RM200,000 given to them.

“We, BN Assemblymen, are thankful for the proposal, but we refuse.

“We want to see what the rationale is with the offer because it is not sincere,” said Shamsudin during the Selangor Budget 2015 debate.

He said that he questioned the sincerity of the proposal because the Assemblymen’s Coordinators also receive the provisions given by the state government when the 12 BN Assemblymen were elected by the people.

“What is the point of having DUN coordinators,” he said.

In the Selangor Budget 2015, the Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, proposed for an allocation of RM200,000 to be given to Assemblymen from the opposition.

Shamsudin said that nevertheless, he will receive the grant of the official Opposition Leader’s car, a Toyota Camry worth RM200,000, including the fixed allowance, driver’s salary (including allowances) and the salary for the executive secretary (including allowances).
