Mohamed Azmin pledges to defend the rights of all communities in Selangor

KLANG, 7 Dec: The Chief Minister of Selangor, Mohamed Azmin Ali vowed to defend the rights of all communities in Selangor and that there is no place for religious extremist groups in this state.

He said that the Christmas celebration proves that the diversity of religions and cultures is not intended to cause conflict or prejudice, but it is strength for the pluralistic society in the effort to ensure unity in Selangor and Malaysia.

“I assure the Christians, Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims that you will not be alone, we will defend your rights,” he said at the Holy Family Church today.

Also present was the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Reverend Father George, and Selangor Exco V. Ganabairau.

Over 100 attendees were present to participate in the Christmas Goodwill Banquet.
