“Almost half of Kelantan is flooded and it can be seen from the airplane.

“Representing the state government, I extend our sympathies to the Kelantan government and flood victims. Selangor had decided to provide assistance since December 24.

“However, yesterday the flood situation in the state was seen as worsening. So, this morning we held a special State Executive Council meeting to re-evaluate the amount,” he told Selangor Kini after visiting over 2,000 flood victims at the Sultan Ismail College.

Meanwhile, Mohd Amar said that Kelantan appreciated the contribution and the concern of the Selangor government.

“This is the worst that has happened since the terrible incident in 1967. Many did not expect the flood this year to be critical.

“Thank you for the contributions presented by the Selangor government at this time when Kelantan is facing disaster and as of now, 35,000 people have been placed at evacuation centres across the state,” he said.
