“The Selangor government channelled some assistance to the Terengganu government. I personally handed over the cheque to Datuk Ahmad Razif and expressed sympathy for people of this state who have had to endure hardship and misfortune.

“Thank God, he welcomed it and thanked the Selangor government and informed that the assistance will be channelled through existing mechanisms in Terengganu, especially to NGOs who have contributed their services in post-flood clean-up,” he told Selangor Kini here at Bukit Mentok today.

He said that the approach led by the Selangor government should be emulated by other state governments.

The meeting between Mohamed Azmin and Ahmad Razif lasted about an hour at the Kemaman District Officer’s official residence.

The meeting was originally scheduled to be held at the Terengganu Chief Minister’s Office, but it had to be postponed as Ahmad Razif had to attend to the Prime Minister’s visit.

Mohamed Azmin and his delegation, comprised of Selangor Exco members Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad, Ean Yong Hian Wah, Zaidy Abdul Talib, Dr Daroyah Alwi and Amiruddin Saari, also visited Pahang, in addition to Terengganu.

In addition to meeting with the Chief Ministers of the two states, Mohamed Azmin also visited some areas suffering from the flood disaster.
