100 days of Mohamed Azmin’s administration, caring for the people is the main commitment

SHAH ALAM, 31 Dec: Today is exactly 100 days YAB Mohamed Azmin Ali has been as the Selangor Chief Minister after being officially appointed on September 23.

Solid commitment and caring for the people is the administrative pattern Mohamed Azmin practices which is well received by Selangor, and has even received positive feedback from the state opposition leaders.

He was not awkwardly seen performing various activities with the people, to a point where he was willing to go into drains, cycle around Pulau Ketam, and even refusing any gifts given during the field events attended by him.

Wise and swift solutions involving the Bible controversy, the water agreement and Kidex demonstrated the seriousness of the Bukit Antarabangsa Assemblyman in prioritising the overall welfare of Selangorians.

The success in solving the Bible seizure issue which had lasted since January also received positive reaction from Muslims and non-Muslims, and even some non-governmental organisation (NGO) leaders also said that Mohamed Azmin successfully practiced the principles of tolerance, as during the time of the Prophet.

Apart from that, he clearly set three conditions to be complied with and the new terms that need to be complied with before the concession agreement ends in February 15 involving the approval of the KIDEX highway project.

The Selangor government under the administration of Mohamed Azmin is also currently finalising the acquisition of two more concession companies, Syarikat Konsortium ABASS Sdn Bhd (ABASS) and Syarikat Pengeluar Air Sungai Selangor Sdn Bhd (SPLASH).

Mohamed Azmin is also determined to ensure the construction of Langat 2, in terms of capacity, engineering cost and construction, is evaluated objectively by state government representatives so that there is no wastage.

The waste issue in several locations across the state has also become Mohamed Azmin’s priority when he was willing to give his personal telephone number so that the people can report directly to him regarding the problems.

At the same time, the fieldwork programmes, which has become synonymous with Mohamed Azmin since he started administering Selangor, has become a reference in other states when was willing to go down to the ground and visit the East Coast to look into the situation of flood victims affected by the disaster since the middle of December, and donating funds regardless of differences in political ideology.

Mohamed Azmin’s caring attitude did not stop there when he also outlined a post-flood assistance programme for flood victims in Kelantan by instructing subsidiary companies under the state government and local authorities to be directly involved.
