Selangor dam records increase to 74.70%

SHAH ALAM, 11 Jan: The water level at the Sungai Selangor dam continues to record an increase to 74.70 percent after being at a critical level a few months back.

According to the Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS) website, as of 8 am yesterday, the water level at the dam reached 210.35 metres.

The high rate of rainfall lately has helped increase the water level at the dam.

The Sungai Selangor dam supplies about 60 percent of water to Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Selangor.

The Batu dam was recorded to be at 99.93 percent, Klang Gate dam at 100 percent, the Sungai Labu Off-River Storage (ORS) at 62.62 percent and the Langat dam at 100 percent.

Meanwhile, Semenyih is at 92.70 percent, Sungai Tinggi dam at 67.13 percent and Tasik Subang at 99.48 percent.
