SHAH ALAM, 15 Jan: The Damansara Utama Assemblyman, Yeo Bee Yin, is confident that the leadership of Chief Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali will be fair in the implementation of the Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (Kidex).
Bee Yin said that Mohamed Azmin will definitely act as mentioned during the Selangor State Assembly in November.
She said that the state government will also ensure that all conditions set are bet before the approval for Kidex is given.
“In addition, the traffic impact report should also be examined by looking at the positive report.
“If it is negative, then there is no need for Kidex to continue and I am certain that the state government will act wisely for the sake of the people,” she told Selangor Kini.
Yesterday, several non-governmental organisations (NGOs) called for Mohamed Azmin to approve Kidex, which is allegedly able to resolve the traffic problems, especially in Petaling Jaya.
Prior to that, Mohamed Azmin set three conditions that must be met by the developer, Kidex Sdn Bhd, before approval is granted by the state government.
Among these conditions, Kidex Sdn Bhd must submit the details of the concession agreement with the federal government.
The two other conditions are the detailed announcement of the toll rate and the returns of the Kidex project, including proof of share ownership as well as the overall impact assessment of the project in providing benefits to users and also the residents of Petaling Jaya.
