“I remain confident and optimistic based on the evidence, facts and the law that I will be released,” he said.

He said this at the International Conference Islam Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin press conference in conjunction with the 12th International Youth Gathering today.

“Que sera sera … Whatever will be, will be …,” he said when asked again.

Regarding the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leadership council meeting, Anwar said that he is still waiting for a suitable date and hopes that it will be held before February 10.

PR is also waiting for the draft of the Hudud implementation enactment from the Kelantan government.

“We have not seen the draft. I have asked for it from the Kelantan state government so that it can be discussed.

“I am not able to comment on it,” he said.
