Selangor repeats success, 100% pass UPKK & UPSR

SHAH ALAM, 24 Feb: The results of the Kafa Class Assessment Test (UPKK) and the Primary School Assessment Test (UPSR) for Integrated Religious Primary Schools across Selangor again recorded 100 percent passes for 2014.

The Director of the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais), Datuk Haris Kasim, said that they are now further discussing with the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) to allow students to take the UPKK at Religious Primary Schools (SRA) based on the outstanding achievement.

“We expect that it will be implemented at SRA by the end of the year or possible next year.

“They syllabus is not very different because there is only one Islamic teaching,” he said.

Prior to this, he officiated the 2014 UPKK and UPSR Excellence Award Ceremony for Selangor at the Tengku Ampuan Jemaah Mosque today.

Also present was the Jais Islamic Education Division Chief Assistant Director, Mohamad Amir Danuri, and the Jakim Islamic Development Division Assistant Director, Tarmizi Ahmad.

More than 17,000 UPKK candidates in year five for Al-Quran Classes and Fardhu Ain (Kafa) recorded full passes in four subjects such as Solat practical, Al-Quran fields and Ulum Syariah.

Selangor Kafa students have the opportunity to sit for two examinations, the year five UPKK and the Religious Primary School Assessment (PSRA) in year six.
