Deputy Minister: Selangor dam levels better compared to 2014

SHAH ALAM, 9 Mar: The water level at all dams are at manageable levels even though the country is now facing a hot season.

The Deputy Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid, said that the water level at the Sungai Selangor Dam, for example, is better compared to the previous year.

“In March last year, the Sungai Selangor Dam had a water level of about 40 percent, however this month, the dam recorded a water level of 74 percent,” he said, taken from Bernama.

When asked about the water disruptions in some areas, Mahdzir said that the disruption wad caused to problems at water supply plants, including ammonia contamination.
