CM: Selangor will submit the master plan for traffic solution to the central government

SHAH ALAM, 19 Mar: The master plan to overcome traffic congestion in Selangor will be drafted before being submitted to the Public Works Ministry.

The Chief Minister of Selangor, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that the plan would enable a comprehensive traffic solution in the state and it is not confined to specific areas.

“When asked about the traffic solution, I will say that we are in the process of drafting the master plan in Selangor.

“Once it is completed, we will present it to the Federal Government because we want a solution to the traffic in Selangor, not just through the construction of highways,” he said.

He said this during a press conference after a meeting with the Public Works Minister, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof at the Selangor Chief Minister’s office today.

When touching on the Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (KIDEX) project, Mohamed Azmin said that the matter was not discussed.

“KIDEX was not discussed at all because I made the decision previously to not allow the construction of the highway. There was no reaction regarding the issue from the federal Government.” he said.

Meanwhile, Fadillah, at the same press conference, said that the ministry is ready to bring up the master plan to be submitted to the Cabinet.
