Stop lying Zahid, Muhyiddin

SHAH ALAM, 28 Apr: Barisan Nasional (BN) does not have to lie to the people in Permatang Pauh by making sweet promises for the sake of winning the parliamentary by-election.

The PKR Women’s Director of Elections, Haniza Talha, said that BN has often betrayed the people by making empty promises since the last general election (GE).

He said that BN promised to build affordable homes across Penang by setting up billboards to attract voters, but it has not been implemented so far.

“Why do we need the GE or by-election before BN starts promising compensation to the people?

“Upgrading works and development in the country should be done continuously not only during the election to win the hearts of voters,” she said during a press statement.

Haniza said that the election committee should disqualify BN’s participation because it is blatant corruption and misuse of public funds.

He said that the allocation will be used to repair and upgrade various facilities and infrastructure.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, also promised to allocate RM400 million to the Permatang Pauh hospital.
