SHAH ALAM, 24 Aug: Parents describe the University of Selangor (UNISEL) as a private higher education institution (IPTS) that is on par with public higher education institutions (IPTA).
This was done based on the facilities provided at both UNISEL campuses in Bestari Jaya and Shah Alam.
Parents are clearly satisfied with what there is at UNISEL and it has become one of the factors why they send their children to study at this university.
Private sector employee, Sharmala Sivasamy, 56, said that she sees UNISEL as a good place of learning.
Sharmala said that the facilities are complete and it helps students throughout the learning process.
But what caught her attention is the environment at UNISEL Bestari Jaya that is beautifully landscaped with trees and there is also a lake.
“There is nothing to complain about because everything is good here. The environment is indeed very suitable for learning,” she said when registering her child in Bestari Jaya.
Government employee, Ramlee Nordin, 54, said that the boarding facilities provided is among the factors why he wants his child to continue studies here.
Ramlee said that with the hostel, it would be easy for students to go for classes.
“It is also safer living in the form compared to outside.
“Now I feel relieved, especially on the safety aspect as my child is living on campus,” he said.
Teacher Siti Hawa Hashim, 30, said that she is satisfied because her sibling is staying at the hostel because it is more economical.
Siti Hawa said that what is offered at UNISEL is organised and complete.
“It is on par with IPTAs here and I am very satisfied,” she said.
