Azmin: Inviting PAS in Pakatan 2.0 is PKR’s decision

SHAH ALAM, 10 Sept: PKR’s decision to maintain PAS in Pakatan Rakyat 2.0 is done on the party’s policy and not a personal statement, said its Deputy President, Mohamed Azmin Ali.

He said that it was made clear previously and was once again confirmed by the two PKR Vice Presidents, Nurul Izzah Anwar and Tian Chua.

However, he said that the views of other partners in Pakatan will still be celebrated because they all have the right to speak.

“This is the party’s stand because PKR is always inclusive and accepts any party that wants to promote reform.

“(This) is not easy, so we hope that all parties need to respect the difficulties in negotiations with our allies in a alliance like this,” he said.

He said this after attending the ‘Beyond 3R : A More Sustainable Solution For Selangor Waste Management’ at the Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC) today.

At the same time, Mohamed Azmin said that several parties representing Parti Amanah Rakyat (Amanah) also welcomed PAS to join in the new coalition.

He said that discussions with all parties will also be done from time to time to ensure consensus can be reached on the matter.

“We always discuss with all parties, there is no problem because we work as a consensus.

“What I previously said is the party’s decision and I hope that Nurul Izzah and Tian Chua’s statement can provide a clearer explanation,” said the Chief Minister of Selangor.
