Abdul Shukor who has served nearly six years admitted that the expansion of the mosque is an urgent need to provide comfort to the congregation.

“We will widen the outside prayer room, which costs almost RM180,000.We ask for more contributions to make up the funding.

“This mosque can accommodate 2,000 worshipers at a time. Usually, for Friday prayers, the congregation overflows and it is sufficient during normal times,” he said.

The 1,700 square feet expansion is expected to begin in October.
