PETALING JAYA, 22 Sept: The Petaling Jaya Open Squash Championship 2015 offers prizes amounting to nearly RM10,000 at Astka Petaling Jaya from 17 to 24 October.
The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) Deputy Secretary, Ahmat Mohaayen Said, said that the 35th championship will be joined by 128 players in several categories, including the 50 and above veteran’s category.
“The organisation of this competition provides an opportunity to the young people to exchange views about the quality techniques of a game.
“It is hoped that participants show off their talents and improve the quality of the game,” he said in a press conference today.
He said that MBPJ thanks the Selangor Squash Association as the organiser and sponsors who are willing to contribute towards the success of the event.
During the event, there will be a sponsorship presentation to MBPJ involving Ng Ping Loong from Lestle Products (M) Sdn Bhd, Jodichai (Prince) and Giam Say Khoon dan Sherifah Hanom (Sport Toto (M) Sdn Bhd).
