SHAH ALAM, 22 Sept: The political scandal involving the Prime Minister can be solved easily if Datuk Seri Najib Razak resigns immediately.
Political writer, Shahbudin Husin, said that it is something the people look forward to due to the economic downturn that is becoming increasingly critical under Najib’s administration.
“During the Aidiladha this Thursday, the sacrifice that is most eagerly awaited is if Najib sacrifices by resigning for the sake of the future of the country and 30 million of its people.
“Let justice play its role after this,” he wrote on the blog.
Prior to this, the Governor of Bank Negara, Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz, said that the value of the ringgit will go up again if the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) issue is solved.
She is of the opinion that the solution of the scandal will enable the depreciation of the currency to be cured.
The 1MDB scandal received attention of the entire country, including the issue of the RM2.6 billion donation into Najib’s personal account.
That caused the confidence of foreign investors to deteriorate and it is being talked about continuously by the international media.
