8,542 vehicles seized, have over 10 compounds

SHAH ALAM, 3 June: A total of 8,542 vehicles that have over 10 compounds were towed in an operation carried out by the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA), starting June 2.

The MBSA Deputy Director of Corporate Communications and Communications Development, Shahrin Ahmad, said that the operation is aimed at creating awareness among road users to abide by the rules.

He said that the move is also aimed at ensuring that those who have compounds clear their respective arrears.

“The overall arrears for the car park compound from March 2002 to May is 858,915 involving RM84 million,” he said in a statement.

Shahrin advised those with arrears or parking offences to immediately settle them.
