Emulate the unity of the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat in developing the state

KUALA SELANGOR, 5 June: The unity of the Selangor government in developing the most developed state should be emulated by PAS, PKR and DAP at the national level.

Selangor discussant, Shafie Ngah, said that the success allows better cooperation between PAS, PKR and DAP against Barisan Nasional (BN), in addition to continuing efforts to channel welfare benefits to the people.

“Selangor, under Pakatan Rakyat, has been ruling the richest state for two terms with a balances seat composition of 15 DAP, 15 PAS and 14 PKR.

“Cooperation between us managed to enliven Allah’s knowledge in mosques and suraus across Selangor, in fact speakers from Kelantan and Kedah have also come to Selangor,” he said when debating the President’s speech at the 61st PAS Annual Conference today.

For the record, the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque in Shah Alam became increasingly enlivened with various knowledgeable events since Pakatan Rakyat (PR) took over the administration of the Selangor government in 2008.

The scenario is different during Barisan Nasional’s (BN) era when mosques in Selangor was government by political interests.

Shafie said that the partnership established in the Selangor Pakatan government was in line with the policy speech by the PAS President, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, yesterday.

“The President’s policy speech yesterday took us down the memory of how we have risen and fell. 61 year’s of age is not young. We should be advanced in the political arena and not be afraid of anyone. Let us not worry about this transition.

“We could do more than that if we keep our relations, praise prudently, and do not fight between friends,” he said.
