1.2 kg pacu fish brings luck in winning RM3,000

PUCHONG, 7 June: A pacu fish weighing 1.22 kg brought good luck to civil servant, Ahmad Husin, when he was selected as the winner in the Fishing Carnival at Taman Puchong Perdana Lake today.

The annual carnival organised by the Subanh Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) qualified Ahmad to take home the cash prize of RM3,000.

He has a deep passion for fishing which made him vary happy when it brought him luck in the event this time.

“Thank God luck today is in my favour and I think it was worth the wait for the fish since this morning,” he said.

Also present was the Sri Serdang Assemblyman, Noor Hanim Ismail, who also took part in the organisation of the carnival this time.

Meanwhile, the runner-up prize went to Muhammad Zaki who caught a catfish weighing 1.06 kg and took home a cash prize of RM1,500.

The third place went to Sham Mohd Ali who caught a pacu fish weighing 0.99 kg and took home a cash prize of RM1,000.

The overall prize for the fishing competition totaled RM6,550 with the participation of over 250.

Among the fishes that were released into the lake include pacu fish, patin fish and keli.
