SHAH ALAM, 25 Sept: The Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) sympathized with a homeless family that made a surau in Puchong their place of shelter.

In addition, the family will also received assistance in the form of a house deposit and monthly rent in addition to other assistance depending on the needs of the family.

“At the same time, Suhaila’s family is now in the process of confirming as a poor and needy recipient in Selangor,” explained LZS.

Previously, Suhaila and her five children were supported by her ex-husband, Muhammad Reduan Abdullah, 36.

However, after Reduan was laid off, they lost their source of income, forcing Suhaila and her children to live at the surau.

Their story went viral on social media sites and received attention from netizens after a Chinese man, Kuan Chee Heng, began to share the fate of the family on Facebook.
