He said that every detail brought up was clearly closely related with the people’s issues, shows how much the King cares about such matters.

“We want to emphasise that a reminded was given to uphold the principles of the Rukun Negara in upholding the constitution and laws, not only in accordance with current issues plaguing the country.

“In fact, it should be a guide for those holding the reins of leadership,” he said in a statement today.

Yesterday, the Malay Rulers, in a statement issued by the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, Datuk Seri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad, urged the government to complete investigations on the 1MDB issue as soon as possible and take appropriate action against those involved.

He wants all parties responsible to provide true and honest cooperation so that the purpose of the inquiry is successful.

The Malay Rulers are worried that if the issue is not handled wisely, goes on for a long time and takes too long, it will affect the country’s economy and harm the lives of the people.

In relation to the statement, Mohamed Azmin said that all parties should not reject the importance of the view and concern of the Malay Rulers.

“On behalf of the people of Selangor, we uphold and appreciate the views and advice invaluable in these statements,” he said.
