SHAH ALAM, 18 June: The Sekinchan Assemblyman, Ng Suee Lim, urged the Sungai Besar Division Umno leaders to carry out tourism programmes and invite the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, to attend.
He said this when commenting on the statement by the division’s Umno of disputing Nazri’s visit to Sekinchan on June 16.
“The Sungai Besar Umno can also invite ministers to go to their areas by conducting programmes and tourism products.
“We compete healthily in helping improve employment opportunities and income for the local people through tourism activities,” he said.
Suee Lim said that the Umno division should also not politicise Nazri’s working visit.
He said that the development should be viewed as a positive development in politics, in addition to helping improve the economy of residents through tourism products.
“Please think outside the box in the context of developing countries, even though we are from different parties.
“Politics has its place and time, not all things should be made into an issue, instead focus on working to meet the aspirations of the people.
“I believe that Nazri has an open and professional attitude in carrying out duties because it is his Key Performance Indicator (KPI),” he told Selangor Kini.
The Umno division also described Nazri’s move as providing moral victory to the opposition parties.
