SHAH ALAM, 13 Sept: Selangor began the Malaysia Cup campaign with a shocking 0-3 defeat at the Shah Alam Stadium yesterday.
Being at home, the Mehmet Durakovic team was snapped with an early goal by Kelantan in the 26th minite through Gilmar Da Silva.
The Red Giants tried to defend and last but the score of 0-1 remained until halftime.
In the second half, Selangor tried to rise up but conceded for the second time in the 49th minute through Austin Amutu.
Four minutes later, Kelantan erased the rest of Selangor’s rising with a third goal by Gilmar Da Silva again.
Also recording a win was the Felda United team after defeating the T-Team 3-0 at the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium.
With this results, Felda United leads Group B with three points.
