Selangor increases UNISEL development allocation

BESTARI JAYA, 7 Aug: Selangor will increase development allocation of the University of Selangor (UNISEL) to ensure the excellence of higher education institutions owned by the sate government.

Selangor Education Exco, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, said that the actual amount of the allocation is still being discussed.

“We believe that each initiative can contribute to the recovery of UNISEL and we are determined to take necessary measures to restore the glory of this university.

“The results of the discussions will be included in the Budget 2016,” said Nik Nazmi in a press conference today.

He said that at the moment, UNISEL’s development is borne by the state government while the cost of administration and management is borne by the university itself.

Meanwhile, in other developments, UNISEL has provided a room for the Education Exco to facilitate bilateral communications.

“It is easier for me to meet students, academic staff and the management,” he said.
