SHAH ALAM, 16 Oct: The whole state recorded moderate and healthy Air Pollution Index (API) readings compared to last week with Shah Alam having recorded very unhealthy readings.
According to the Department of Environment (DOE) official website, 36 areas recorded moderate API readings while 15 other areas recorded good readings as of 10 o’clock this morning.
Most areas in Selangor recorded moderate API readings including Banting with a reading of 76, Kuala Selangor (59), Port Klang (83), Petaling Jaya (63) and Shah Alam (71).
API readings between 0 to 50 is good, 51 to 100 (moderate), 101 to 200 (unhealthy), 201 to 300 (very unhealthy) and 300 and above (hazardous).
