SHAH ALAM, 7 Oct: The poor and needy recipients registered under the Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) are being helped in entering the job market to improve their lives.
The LZS Corporate Communications Manager, Norajun Ainun Mohd Hashim, said that the programme, which was established since February, offers technical, operator and administrative fields.
She said that so far, a total of 24 recipients managed to secure jobs through the programme which is being run by Mais Zakat Sdn Bhd (MZSB).
“LZS wants the poor and needy recipients to have suitable job opportunities to supplement their incomes and improve their quality of life.
“The criteria is simple, they must be physically fit and have an education background of at least the Lower Secondary Assessment (PMR),” she told Selangor Kini.
Norajun said that recipients interested can register at the Klang Sentral MZSB Career Unit by contacting 03-3341 3654 extension 122.
She said that they may also submit their resumes in hardcopy or softcopy to [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected].
Selangor Kini understands that the recipients will be exposed to a pre-career, development and preparation course, and also participate in the Career Fair before being absorbed into the working world.
