Selangor Zakat Board continues to help Harris’ family

SHAH ALAM, 14 SEP: The family of Mohd Harris Asraf, 2, received low-cost housing financing assistance from the Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) in Bukit Beruntung, Rawang.

It is continuous aid after the LZS channeled several other forms of assistance to ease the burden of Harris, who has been suffering from intestinal issues since birth.

“LZS wishes a million thanks to the zakat contributors who make it possible for us to help zakat recipients in need,” said LZS through its Facebook page.

Prior to this, Harris’ family, including his father, Rohaizat Ashikin, received financial assistance and monthly food items, education aid, Hari Raya aid, hospital bills and medication expenses.

In 2013, Rohaizat who works as a taxi driver was distressed with his son’s condition to the point of losing focus in his work and subsequently causing him to delay his taxi rental payments.

The situation made their lives more difficult before being blessed by LZS which then paid for his taxi rental debt.

Harris has suffered health problems since birth and needs due care and attention from both his parents.
