KUALA SELANGOR, 8 Sept: The household income requirements for the application of Selangorku Homes is being studied to meet the high demand.

The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that the maximum rate of RM8,000 is now being considered to be increased to RM10,000 a month.

He said that the consideration is also in line with the declining value of the ringgit against the US dollar.

“During the discussion to draft the Budget 2016 with the target group recently, there has been a request to review the eligibility criteria for affordable housing.

“This means that those of the middle income also want these homes because there is increasingly urgent demand. We are prepared to consider the request,” he said.

Prior to this, he completed the Kota Puteri PKNS Selangorku Dream homes Launch and Registration Ceremony this morning.

Also present was the Exco for Housing, Building Management and Urban Living, Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad, the State Financial Officer, Datuk Noordin Sulaiman and the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) General Manager, Azlan Alifiah.

A total of 4,471 Kota Puteri Selangorku Dream Homes are expected to be fully completed in 2023.

The first phase of the construction will begin in 2016, followed by the second phase in 2018 and the third phase in 2021.

There are two types of development; highly stratified homes and double-storied terraced houses that are priced between RM42,000 to RM250,000.
